Dr. Shawn Harrington is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Windsor, ON. He grew up in a police family and now the bulk of his practice is dedicated to supporting first responders and military personnel. Dr. Harrington’s mission is to promote mental health, to de-stigmatize it, and encourage people to continue to develop personally and emotionally. Dr. Harrington, treated and supported Tony in his bout with PTSD. In this episode they discuss the symptoms and treatment of PTSD, anxiety, depression, coping mechanisms and positive solutions for people to use.
Casey is back! In this episode the guys discuss the 5k For The Frontlines and the tragic story that inspired it. He shares other stories from frontliners to further raise awareness for the cause and some tips he has learned to maintain a positive headspace. Tony calls upon all the gyms and wellness centres in the region to join the great army already consisting of 14 facilities in their mission to the raise the funds to provide treatment, and training for the frontliners as they continue to battle the pandemic head on at work while dealing with the same collateral damage it is having on all of us at home.
