Mental health can sometimes be seen as a sign of weakness, when in fact everyone deals with it on a day-to-day basis to a certain degree. Being a goalie and put into high pressure games or situations, I find myself struggling with my mental health and rely on my coaches and resources that are provided through the teams I have played for around me to navigate the emotions I may be feeling or thinking. My hope is to show people that mental health is nothing to be ashamed of but something to be embraced and can make you stronger!
