Since its launch in 2017, community support of the Sole Focus Project has been incredible! We continue to welcome mental health ambassadors, with several opportunities to get involved.
Key to reducing stigma is building awareness. Greater awareness requires ambassadors to share their own stories of lived experience, to show their support for others, and to champion the work of CMHA-WECB.
In addition to individuals taking a stand for mental health, we have a host of local organizations that are leading the charge in building and nurturing psychologically safe and healthy workplaces. Either as strategic partners, or as members of our On the Front Lines campaign, these companies are committed to their employees mental health and well-being.
An integral component of the Sole Focus Project continues to be fundraising. Mental health promotion and training, and bereavement counselling continue to be un-funded by our government. We are always honoured to work with third party fundraisers who want to support CMHA-WECB, and the amazing volunteers who support these endeavours.
