Beach Grove Golf & Country Club has been raising funds all year as part of their 100th anniversary to support charities in the local community.

Earlier this year, the Club reached their original goal raising $100,000, to provide $25,000 to each of their four pillar charities: the Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor-Essex, W.E. Care for Kids, Hub of Opportunity (formerly the Unemployment Help Centre) and the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.

“The campaign has been a terrific success! Thanks to the generosity of our community and Beach Grove membership who were immensely supportive of this community initiative during our 100th Anniversary  Year,” said Beach Grove’s President, Frank Dayus Jr.

After reaching the $100,000 goal, Beach Grove continued to fundraise an additional $50,000 to support ten smaller local charities providing $5,000 to each. A total of $150,000 will be donated leaving a legacy in the community as part of the Club’s Centennial Celebrations.

The ten additional charities, listed below, will be receiving donations to assist them with their holiday programs, expenses, and operational costs:

  • Building Blocks for Better Babies
  • Divine Mercy Food Bank
  • Hiatus House Windsor
  • Hospice Windsor Essex
  • Maryvale Adolescent Mental Health
