Telling our own stories can be scary. It puts us in a position for others to judge. People assume the conversation around mental health only affects a small percentage of the population but the truth is 100% of the human race experiences daily challenges, highs and lows, some more than others. The reason why I decided to join the Sole Focus Project and became an ambassador is because I was someone who did not understand how to take care of myself mentally. I’ve committed my life’s work to helping others from all walks of life understand that they DO have the power to change how they think and feel. I believe self awareness and education are key to changing how we feel about ourselves and the world. Change is possible, it’s uncomfortable. Behind every closed door is a story waiting to be told and behind every perfectly dressed human is an untold vulnerable story wanting to be expressed. Be more of you and less of who the world wants you to be.
